Nomi Husain is Board Certified in Personal Injury Litigation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is President of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce; as well as, Vice-chair of the Ethics Commission for the City of Houston. Additionally, he also served as member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, and is a former Vice President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, a former Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, a former commissioner for Building and Standards Commission for the City of Houston, and a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.
In addition to being licensed to practice in Texas, New York and the District of Columbia, he is also licensed to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Southern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Western District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court, New York Court of Appeals and the District of Columbia. Nomi is a certified Mediator and has successfully represented his clients in both state and federal courts.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with B.A. in Political Science (1995) and South Texas College of Law (J.D., 1999). He was Editor for Articles and Notes for the International Trade Law Journal and clerked for the Honorable Scott Link.
