In addition to being a practicing attorney, he is also co-owner and counsel to a media company and a printing company; as well as, holding oil and gas leases. He also has experience in the automotive and construction industries. And if you ask Rick about an accomplishment of which he is particularly proud, he would tell you that he served our country as an Army Air Defense Artillery Officer. Furthermore, Rick is an accomplished pilot and flight instructor with over 40 years and 16,000 hours in the cockpit. This passion for aviation led Rick to open Aircraft Simulator Training, a state of the art flight training school. The flight school is staffed by aviation professionals (air carrier operations & general aviation) who have decades of experience and are dedicated to training a new generation of pilots. These aviation professionals also assist on aviation accident cases, by reconstructing accidents via flight simulator.

Nomi Husain

Nomi Husain is Board Certified in Personal Injury Litigation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is President of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce; as well as, Vice-chair of the Ethics Commission for the City of Houston. Additionally, he also served as member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, and is a former Vice President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, a former Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, a former commissioner for Building and Standards Commission for the City of Houston, and a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.
In addition to being licensed to practice in Texas, New York and the District of Columbia, he is also licensed to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Southern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Western District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court, New York Court of Appeals and the District of Columbia. Lucas Wilson
Litigation Specialist
Lucas Wilson joined the firm in 2019 after finishing law school. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and his Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, receiving honors from both schools. Lucas has a variety of real world experience to draw from when working and relating with clients. He has worked in a number of trades: carpentry (construction and finishing), painting, and general building maintenance. Lucas also has worked as an emergency response manager in the state of Florida for British Petroleum during the MC-252 oil spill. Lucas will tell you that he is most proud of his time serving in the United States Navy, where he received an honorable discharge and several personal achievement medals for his commendable service. When Lucas isn’t trying to provide the best results for your legal matters, he is serving on his local school board and volunteering with his community’s Autism meet-up group.
Haleigh Shanks

Haleigh Shanks joined the law firm in 2009, after completing her associate’s degree in paralegal studies. As senior litigation legal assistant, she played a major role in the firm’s trial preparations, even in the most complex cases. While working at the law firm, she attended college and completed her Bachelor’s degree. Late in 2013, Haleigh left the law firm to attend law school. In May 2016, she completed law school and was awarded her Juris Doctor from South Texas School of Law. The law firm is happy to have Haleigh back in their ranks working to obtain the best possible results for our clients.

Don Caspary
Licensed Process Server, Lead Firm Investigator
Don Caspary is the firm’s lead investigator (Texas) and process server. He is a former bounty hunter (we call him “Dog’). Don’s experience as a bounty hunter and private investigator has helped him track down many defendants and witnesses, some that did not want to be found. Don's unique skillset makes him the perfect person to meet with many of our clients and handle the initial investigation of their accident. His tireless effort and willingness to work at all hours has saved many cases that would have otherwise resulted in little or no return for the injured party. When Don is on a case, the client is contacted to set up a meeting at a convenient time and location.

Trish Ladner
Office Manager, Senior Legal Assistant
Trish Ladner is our Office Manager. As such, she works with the staff to coordinate all medical records and billing records for our injured clients. Furthermore, Trish also coordinates litigation filings. Additionally, she is the backup manager for our litigation department. Trish is an eight year employee of the law firm.
