Furthermore, Rick is an accomplished pilot and flight instructor with over 40 years and 16,000 hours in the cockpit. This passion for aviation led Rick to open Aircraft Simulator Training, a state of the art flight training school. The flight school is staffed by aviation professionals (air carrier operations & general aviation) who have decades of experience and are dedicated to training a new generation of pilots. These aviation professionals also assist on aviation accident cases, by reconstructing accidents via flight simulator.

Etta is happy to be working on the plaintiff’s side, after defending insurance companies and large corporations for years. Etta expertly handles cases when they move into litigation and a lawsuit is filed for our client. Etta’s skills include researching cases and writing briefs and motions to support the case. Etta also works with insurance companies and statutory lien holders to reach the best result on all cases. Etta is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. While at the University of Texas, she served as Executive Editor on the Texas Law Review. She also interned at the Supreme Court of Texas. Etta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The University of St. Thomas with highest honors.
Haleigh Shanks joined the law firm in 2009, after completing her associate’s degree in paralegal studies. As senior litigation legal assistant, she played a major role in the firm’s trial preparations, even in the most complex cases. While working at the law firm, she attended college and completed her Bachelor’s degree. Late in 2013, Haleigh left the law firm to attend law school. In May 2016, she completed law school and was awarded her Juris Doctor from South Texas School of Law. The law firm is happy to have Haleigh back in their ranks working to obtain the best possible results for our clients.
Nomi Husain is Board Certified in Personal Injury Litigation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is President of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce; as well as, Vice-chair of the Ethics Commission for the City of Houston. Additionally, he also served as member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, and is a former Vice President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, a former Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, a former commissioner for Building and Standards Commission for the City of Houston, and a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.

Senior Legal Assistant
Fran started her career at the law firm as a case manager. Next, she was promoted to the position of Senior Legal Assistant. Fran manages the legal assistants and assures that all claims are handled properly. A key part of handling claims is to secure sufficient medical treatment for clients. Additionally, she works with the attorneys to prepare demands for presentment to insurance companies and corporations. Furthermore, she is knowledgeable about medical procedures and knows how to properly build a medical claim. Fran dedicates her time to securing the necessary medical treatment for clients and settling their cases for the maximum amounts allowable.
Donna started an extensive career in personal injury in 1992 when she worked in a small insurance agency in Houston, Texas. In 1996, she moved to Northwest Arkansas and developed career as a liability claims adjuster for Claims Management, Incorporated (CMI). During her 13-year tenure at CMI Donna investigated, negotiated, managed and settled thousands of premises liability claims. She was also given the privilege of bringing her skills and talents of leadership and training to hundreds of associates within the company.
After leaving the company in 2009, Donna took a break from the world of personal injury, but she couldn't stay away for long. Donna eventually decided to lend her expertise to the underdog and went to work for her first personal injury law firm in 2012. It was here that she expanded on her already vast knowledge of personal injury claims by supporting a team of highly skilled attorneys in an even greater variety of liability cases such as dog bites, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and medical malpractice claims.
Licensed Private Investigator, Licensed Process Server
Don Caspary is the firm’s licensed private investigator (Texas) and process server. He is a former bounty hunter (we call him “Dog’). Don’s experience as a bounty hunter and private investigator has helped him track down many defendants and witnesses, some that did not want to be found. Don's unique skillset makes him the perfect person to meet with many of our clients and handle the initial investigation of their accident. His tireless effort and willingness to work at all hours has saved many cases that would have otherwise resulted in little or no return for the injured party. When Don is on a case, the client is contacted to set up a meeting at a convenient time and location.
Trish Ladner is our Office Manager. As such, she works with the staff to coordinate all medical records and billing records for our injured clients. Furthermore, Trish also coordinates litigation filings. Additionally, she is the backup manager for our litigation department. Trish is a five year employee of the law firm.
Suzanne Dickerson is a paralegal in our Litigation Section. She has an associate’s degree in Paralegal Sciences from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies, which is approved by the American Bar Association. Suzanne works under the supervision of our litigation attorneys and is involved in all litigation activities. She has a background in Family Law, Probate, Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation; as well as, Personal Injury.
Morrisa Postel has been with the firm since 2013. She is in the Pre Litigation Department and is the Case Manager. She is the first point of contact when clients contact the firm. She is responsible for ordering medical and processing client treatments for their injuries.
Megan Lutz is a case manager and her specialty is dealing with insurance notices. As a result, her primary responsibility is to verify all the insurance coverage under what is considered contract coverage. Furthermore, she has been trained to search out additional coverage, verify that coverage and make sure the client gets all the proceeds from all the applicable insurance policies. She also reviews medical records and handles our correspondence section to maintain client contact.
